What does the universe want?

Well, what does an infant want?

You could say specifics, like: food, sleep, comfort…

But since an infant doesn’t really understand wanting those things, perhaps a summary could be: An infant [unconsciously] wants to be (exist) as much and well as possible.

Now, consider everything in the universe on every scale, whether galaxies, atoms, humans, rocks, ideas…

Everything seems to reflect everything else in one specific way: Like infants, each thing only “wants” to exist as much (and well) as possible while it can.

Nothing is an end in itself.

Infants are brought together from materials they know nothing about to be born into an entirely new reality; they’re then innately ready to consume, produce, develop . . . be…

Maybe the universe and everything in it are the same.
